Sunday was Hollywood’s most “anticipated” awards ceremony – Oscar night!
However it was a rather dead night for the 15 million viewers that briefly turned on their TVs.
The viewing decline can obviously be linked to the abysmal hosts that for the last few years have only made it a cringy, self congratulatory, politically charged, gluteus Maximus kissing, hollow shell of its once gleaming golden days.
Did we really need to see Amy Schumer as Spider-Man?
If you care to spend time rewatching the Oscars, you too would notice that the cringing did not start when Will Smith delivered his slap to Chris Rock – the cringing had started long before.
The fashion from the red carpet is truly the remaining thread left holding the anticipation and attention of Oscar viewers these days.

Continuing on with the real reason why we watch the Academy Awards these days!
Let’s take a look at some of the best outfits from last night!
Here are my top looks!

Zendaya wearing Haute Couture Valentino and Bulgari jewelry. The look is fresh, feminine, modern, classy, and mature – all these words fit Zendaya as a person. She always makes a beautiful entrance to any event.

Lupita Nyong’o looked stunning in a custom Prada gown.

Mila Kunas looked incredible in her Zuhair Murad gown. Zuhair Murad is one of my favorite designers. He just knows how to dress a woman, from the fit, to the drape, Zuhair is a truly exceptional designer.

Jada Pinkett Smith wore a stunning Jean Paul Gaultier gown with matching heels and eyeshadow. The gown was created by Belgian designer Glenn Martens, who made his haute couture debut as a guest designer for Jean Paul Gaultier’s spring/summer 2022 collection in January.

Jessica Chastain wore a gorgeous ombre Gucci gown. The dress had a sequined bronze plunging neckline that faded into a sparkly iridescent lilac pleated skirt, lined with ornate chiffon floral embellishments along the hem. She lit up the stage as she accepted her Oscar for Best Actress with her performance in ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye‘

Pam & Tommy star Lily James wore a beautiful pastel pink Atelier Versace gown. I love how pink dominated the red carpet this year.

Dakota Johnson wore one of my FAVORITE looks of the night. According to W magazine “The pale pink gown is a voluminous dream, with sweeping sleeves and a full skirt, both covered in sequins and feathers. The structure at the top of the dress balances out the bottom, which surrounds Johnson in pink and purple feathers that swept the floor behind her as she walked. Knowing better than to compete with the elaborate design of this dress, Johnson and her stylist, Kate Young, opted for close to no jewelry and simple glam, pulling back the actress’ hair in a half-up bun.”

Rita Ora also took my breath away last night. The singer opted for a Miss Sohee gown and coat by London-based designer Sohee Park, with matching shoes. The shimmering black column gown (designed in collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana) featured a strapless design with a bejeweled V-shaped neckline. The white over-coat had gorgeous billowy sleeves and whimsical embroidery at the bottom.

Carey Mulligan wore a show-stopping gold Valentino Couture gown. This is truly, an Oscar gown.
